Managing time can be a juggling act in today's fast-paced world but super woman Kate Stark takes it in her stride.

She shares how she goes about her day taking care of her family, managing the household and work, taking some time for self-care and also managing to squeeze in some social life too. Wow!

 Let’s hear from Kate.

“I got into running around six years ago when I set myself a challenge to run a 10k race. I’ve no idea where the motivation came from to do this, as with having a young family and working full time, any time I had to spare was pretty precious! I think I used to see people running locally and thought ‘they look like they’re having fun, I want a piece of this!’

I joined a ladies running club called Fellside Ladies and started running with them once a week. I soon made some great friends and once a week running became more like two to three times, often in the dark with our head torches on as it was the only time we could fit it in!

From then on, I’ve been hooked. I’ve since completed dozens of 10ks, several half marathons, four full marathons and a number of other distances including taking part in Endure 24 this year, running 30 miles as part of a relay team which was brilliant fun!

I never once thought that (at the age of 39) running would be such a big part of my life and putting my trainers on to do a 10k would be considered to be a short run!

Through running I’ve made some brilliant friends who I’ve shared some amazing times with and together we inspire each other to dream, believe and achieve.”
