A few years back a young lad braved his first day of Taekwondo training not knowing it would change his life thereon. Since then he continues to earn ranks and medals to this day.
Here’s more of of Joel Titchener journey.
“Joel started taekwondo in September 2014, at just 9 years old, he entered the dojang (training hall) very nervously and wanted to quit before he had started. He managed to stay for the first session and got the bug! Making his way up through the coloured belt gradings, getting credits and distinctions along the way.
He has entered many competitions and suffered many setbacks, but in the true taekwondo spirit, kept going and medalled in patterns and sparring, winning bronze, silver and gold medals and has even competed internationally.
He was due to take his black belt grading in May this year, before Covid-19 struck, but will hopefully get to take it in October, continuing to train hard at home and having his classes through zoom meetings.”
